Chocolate Banana Protein Pancakes

A high protein breakfast that isn’t some kind of eggs⏤ be it scrambled, boiled, sunny side up, baked, in a frittata, crustless quiche, poached, whatever, can be a bit of a task for those of us who do not have their creative peak in the morning.

While a protein shake can be a nice default for those days you just can’t think of anything but eggs and you have eaten so many eggs you are about to lose your mind, during the cooler months it can be nice to have something warm and comforting to start your day.

How about some fluffy Chocolate Banana Pancakes? Yummmmm!

Don’t worry, I haven’t lost it entirely. These pancakes are high protein, low carb and perfectly appropriate for a bariatric lifestyle. This recipe is from our friends at Unjury Medical Grade Protein.


1 Scoop Unjury Chocolate Splendor

2 Eggs (1 whole, 1 white only)

1 Banana



  1. Combine all ingredients using an immersion blender or wishing until no lumps remain.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle to medium low heat.
  3. Gently pour your pancake mixture into the pan with roughly 1/3 cup of mixture per pancake.


Does anyone else like to eat pancakes with their hands, or is that just me? This recipe is incredibly easy and can be made using any of the Unjury flavors, I would probably steer clear of Chicken Soup flavored pancakes, but maybe that is your think. If you’re a pumpkin spice fan, I recommend you try the vanilla protein powder and throw a bit of pumpkin pie spice into your pancake mixture.
